TA Webinar 4/24/19: Establishing an Opioid Treatment Program in your RHC

On April 24th Dr. Reid Lofgran, MD, with the North Canyon Family Practice in Gooding, Idaho, a federally certified Rural Health Clinic, will review the requirements of running an opioid medication assisted treatment (MA) and how he and his colleagues have done this within the setting of a rural health clinic, with minimal community resources.

Dr. Lofgran will review some terminology of addiction, new and old medications used for MAT, the importance of contracts, address challenges their RHC has faced, including patient-caused challenges.

Finally, Dr. Lofgran will talk about addiction in the chronic disease model, and overcoming some of the stigmas and stereotypes associated with addiction, as well as treating those with opioid tolerance and dependence as opposed to addiction or abuse.

Dr. Lofgran and his colleagues (including his office manager) will also make time to answer your questions about their program.
